boat showsThe sector of boating and cruising is an interesting one, for boaters and spectators alike. Worldwide boat shows are the best way to see what’s on offer from the most recent designs in motorboats and yachts. There are a few celebrated yearly events, tempting thousands of visitors. They let manufacturers of boats and yachts exhibit and the media report on the most recent breakthroughs, all with their own local flavor. The Fort Lauderdale Show is a family-friendly event which takes place in the Florida sunlight. It exhibits boats, yachts and accessories with a selected accent on superyachts. The local interest in fishing is mirrored in the quantity of fishing related events. There’s teaching for adults with particular sessions for women and youngsters.

Youngsters in the 4-16 age range can learn how to fish with Captain Don Dingman, presenter of children’s television show, Hook the Future. They also get the opportunity to do some face painting. Southampton Show is the big event on the calendar of ship shows in Britain. The event in September of 2007 was a major success and offered a multitude of activities and the chance to explore the beautiful pier. One of the highlights was the appearance of the HMS Bounty, a reproduction pirate ship that latterly featured in the film, Pirates of the Caribbean: World’s End. (more…)
